Requirements
- Strong Photoshop skills - HTML, CSS, Flash skills a plus
- 2-3 years of interactive design experience, including at least 1 year of e-commerce experience(optional)

Web Design Intern
Description
Here at VBS, the place to find and buy hair products, we're looking for our next rockstar intern for the Fall.
Get real world experience in the e-commerce beauty industry while getting your hands dirty designing web banners, email campaigns, and various special projects. You'll also learn a bit about product photography and image production. Work with a talented, dedicated team in a centrally located, casual midtown office.
Outstanding students with an interest in web design and beauty are welcome, any time of year. The intern will report to the Web Designer and act as support for the Product Development team.
Your day to day:
- Contribute to promotional design production (banners, emails, site assets)
- Help with product photography production (retouch, resize and compose product photos)
- Complete an intern project of your choosing (with some guidance)
What you'll need
- Strong Photoshop skills - HTML, CSS, Flash skills a plus
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Interest in hair care & beauty
- Can-do attitude
We need someone for at least 24/hours a week. Internship is for credit, stipend available.

Editorial Intern
Location: New York, NY
Description
VBS is the destination for hair and the HairJunky blog is aiming to be the blog for hair news, education and entertainment.
We're looking for a star intern (playful, creative, adventurous and inspired) to assist the editor with... everything. (Research, writing, publishing, marketing, creative production (photo, video) and social media support.)
Outstanding students with an interest in writing/blogging, marketing and hair are welcome any time of year. The intern will report to the Content Manager and will act as support for the Product Development team.
Responsibilities:
- Research hair industry news, trends, events and products/tools
- Coordinate contests and giveaways
- Assist editor with publishing and creative production
- Potential copywriting and marketing support for qualified candidates
- Complete an intern project of your choosing (with some guidance)
Requirements:
- Strong writing skills
- Sense of humor
- Blogging and social media experience
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Interest in hair
- Positive attitude and reliability
You'll have an edge if:
- You've worked in e-commerce.
- You have hair-industry experience (retail, salon, ecommerce, creative or other)
- You have your own blog or website
- You have experience with photography or video
We need someone for about 24/hours a week, but we're flexible, so fulltime may also be an option.
